The Halifax Citadel Society (HCS) supports programming at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site (NHS) of Canada. Established on July 10, 1993, it is a non-profit, charitable organization which works in partnership with Parks Canada.
The goals of Parks Canada
Parks Canada operates a network of national parks, national historic sites and national marine conservation areas across Canada. The federal agency protects and presents significant examples of Canada's natural and cultural heritage. It also fosters public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment for present and future generations.
